Gratarling

Living on mountainous cliffs, they climb steep rocky surfaces to reach salts that stick out. They have a personal preference for salty water, hence the effort put in climbing. It uses its charred rocky horns to scoop out hard to reach salts. Its coat contains ointments that attract bugs, although to counteract this, Gratarling simply raises its head so its horns keep the bug on its back in place until it is cooked. This is how they cool off during heat waves. They do not consume the bugs, although the cooked meat scent that's left behind attracts Berbeloar, its natural predator. The cliffs not only allow it to access its favourite treat, but also save it from the clutches of its hunter.
