Nymva

Living in the ground, Nymva spends its time using its claw-like appendages to dig through dirt, where it searches for tree roots where it can find water nearby. It then swiftly drinks the underground water and climbs up to the surface where it feeds on tree sap. During this time, it's vulnerable to airborne predators and scavengers like Pupazugh. It's primarily passive but its claws are sharp enough to cut through wood in order to reach the sap. Surprisingly, underground survival is a rare niche in Dakian nature, so Nymva gets to profit by being the best in its field, because there's no one else in its field. This causes a surge in Nymva populations.
