Puprop

Born in litters that roam the streets, Puprop is adored by children the moment he's found. They tie a rag around his neck as a mark of ownership, taking turns to carry him around and show him off to the rest of the block. But he's not a puppy forever. Once he's grown too big to carry, the attention that once surrounded him quietly disappears, and the kids move onto the next stray to fawn over. The rag stays around his neck regardless, the only leftover proof of a home he never actually had.
