Chompeon

The Hidden Pokémon

Grass Poison

The master of Eevee evolutions from antiquity heard word of a monster that kept eating the local livestock. As a researcher of her time, she set out with her Solareon to study this new species. As she went through the forest, she found a weird head sitting in the dirt. It was made out of leaves, but as she looked closer she saw a small head inside of it, hidden in a poisonous liquid. With Solareon by her side, she walked around this strange Pokémon and found that its patterned body was camouflaged among leaves, a bell flower on top of its tail attracting Pokémon that walked into the liquid, which digested the food for this Pokémon. After sketching it, she realised that it had a close anatomy to the standard Eevee evolution. After fighting it, she caught it and got it to help understand how it became like this. Turns out, the forest had a giant mossy rock in an opening, while the area it lived in as an Eevee had several poison barbs. An extremely rare species, it was documented in the wild to be mainly inoffensive. It rarely moves and only waits for Pokémon to walk in and disintegrate in the acid. Pokémon that are too big to enter are ignored, although if they stay too long and block actual prey from coming, it will certainly strike.
