Respipuss
The Housepet Pokémon
After considerable care and love is put into raising a Traffkat, it evolves into Respipuss. Its eyes grow back to normal, but its body is still torn apart. It generates spectral projections to create a half-real, half-ghost body cat. It is extremely gentle and street-wise; it understands that while its death was unfair, it's impossible to actively prevent. It all relies on its choice to be here — that's why it gains its soul back. It generates a spectral iron lung on its back, almost like a backpack, which it manually pumps for every breath to keep itself partially alive. Owning one of these Pokémon and having them actively show affection is a sign that the individual had to make it feel loved enough to believe that life is worth living. Known encounters between this Pokémon and Kettenochen end in silent stand-offs between the two — they never fight, but they stare. Meanwhile Krawathund takes a very friendly approach and actively chases it around, to which Respipuss may just become a full ghost to tease it.
